Well stated and sensible response Tom! I generally agree with your sentiment — regulated capitalism with a generous social safety net is the sweet spot for a western society.

Corporations and the uber wealthy are playing us against each other, keeping the poor and middle class at each others’ throats (Orwell was on point IMO).

I wish writers with your reasonable well-thought articles and responses would get as much traction as Umair. Sadly, extremist, dystopian screeds get views. At least they get us thinking I suppose.
